Our Miniature Horse Interactions are the Main attraction at Meet the Minis
While we do aim this for the younger ones, people of all ages will enjoy time spent at Meet the Minis.
Play Time with the Minis
Available 10:30-14:40
Playtime with the minis gives you time to relax and enjoy being surrounded by miniature horses. You can wander about between the horses, brush some, get cuddles and selfies with the foals (baby horses), and dress up the adult horses.
This also gives you a good opportunity to hang out with the donkeys.
Mini walk & Obstacles
Available 11:00 & 14:00
The mini walk & obstacle course is about 30 minutes in duration. You each get assigned a mini horse to lead, and after a short safety briefing, you head to our cross country jumping course to try with your mini.
If all have energy, you may also choose to take an extra walk or run around in our large veld.
Mini run Available @ 15:20 only
Barn Tour available @ 09:00 & +-15:30
The mini run is a fun experience where guests watch the herd run up from the paddocks to barn for dinner.
The guided barn tour takes you through the barn, learning about various breeds, how the horses live and getting to meet the bigger horses. If there are any new foals, this will be your opportunity to meet them and perhaps even hold them for a photo.
“Pony Rides”
1hr sessions Available @ 10:00 & 13:00
All rides are done with a handler walking and controlling the horse – thus known as “PONY RIDES”.
Riding on the Miniature Horses is limited to under 15kg and under 2yrs old. Parent MUST hold child at all times!
For those over 15kgs, we have 2 options which will depend on the horses and handlers for the day. Our Arabians or Welsh Pony who can take up to 55kgs and 17yrs old, or our Percherons who can take all ages and up to 100kgs.
There is no minimum age or weight on our larger horses, even tiny children and toddlers can ride them.
Our “Pony Ride” sessions last 1 hour and we charge only once for Pony Rides, the guest may choose to do only one 5 minute ride, or multiple rides of 5 minutes at no additional charge, as long as all guests who wish to ride get a chance.
